The new maritime station of Getxo improves the capacity of the port of Bilbao and makes it the most important in the north of the Iberian peninsula. The Britannia, the largest cruise ship under British flag, inaugurated the new passenger terminal, prepared to absorb the expected traffic of 58 cruisers and 94,000 passengers. The public address and voice alarm system has been entrusted to the COMPACT system. To ensure intelligibility in the large building of 15 meters high and 3,200 m2 have been used active and processed acoustic columns, of 8 and 16 loudspeakers, to direct the sound effectively and get an optimal sound coverage on the listening area.
