The new Garbí building, built on the occasion of the pandemic, is a multipurpose space dedicated to the care of patients with COVID-19. It depends on the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital and is located in the nearby Parc Sanitari Pere Virgili. The building is of modular construction and its surface area is 3,111 m2 spread over four floors, two for hospitalization with 56 beds, one with 32 ICU and semi-critical beds, and another with a diagnostic area capable of performing up to 5,000 PCR tests per day. The public address and voice alarm system has been entrusted to the OPTIMUS EN 54 COMPACT certified system, with an audio matrix, 1,000 W RMS power and a 30-zone remote microphone desk MD-30C, connected by bus via CAN protocol (Controller Area Network). More than 100 A-225EN sound projectors for outdoor (IP66) of 20 W RMS power, both models certified EN 54-24, have been installed.
