Cajamar, one of the ten largest financial institutions in Spain, has decided to unify its central and technological services in a modern complex in Almeria. The new headquarters will house some 2,000 of its employees, centralizing operations that are currently distributed in different locations, optimizing operational efficiency, and reinforcing the entity's commitment to the economic and social development of Almería.
This new corporate headquarters is located on a 33,800 m² plot of land, with a total built area of approximately 42,500 m² above ground and 52,000 m² below ground for parking and various facilities.
The innovative and functional design, projected by Ayala Arquitectos and executed by JARQUIL as main contractor, presents a building that changes its alignment from rectangular to a six-armed shape above ground, using post-tensioned slabs, a solution rarely seen in buildings of this type. The aesthetically pleasing and imposing work is an example of advanced engineering. The complex will offer a wide range of amenities for its employees, including open spaces, meeting rooms, collaborative work areas, assembly hall, green areas, cafeteria, canteen, medical service, nursery and playroom, and 900 parking spaces.
OPTIMUS technology for Cajamar
To ensure effective communication and optimum security, advanced OPTIMUS systems were installed, all certified to EN 54 standards. More than 1,000 loudspeakers were deployed, including: in-ceiling (model A-225EN), surface-mounted (model AS-226EN), and more than 150 acoustic projectors (model SP-20EN). Many of these loudspeakers were painted in RAL 9005, adapting to the aesthetics of the building.
The COMPACT system was implemented, ready to control more than 72 zones of loudspeakers with a power of 6000 W RMS, together with advanced control software and 2 DC-700ETH control consoles. Twenty units of the KB-10F model were also supplied for accessible restroom signage.
Construction, which began in 2020, has progressed significantly, with the main structure now complete. JARQUIL uses modern planning and control technologies, highlighting the use of a common collaborative BIM environment, which makes it possible to anticipate any incidents and ensure efficient and accurate execution.
At OPTIMUS, we have state-of-the-art technology in public address, voice alarm and intercommunication systems. Each project is studied with the utmost dedication and rigor to offer the best solutions tailored to the specific needs of each client. The new Cajamar headquarters in Almeria is a clear example of how our technology and commitment can be integrated to create modern, efficient and future-proof workspaces.
