The rapid transit metro system of the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi, is in the process of improvement, modernizing trains, expanding its infrastructure with plans for future lines, rebuilding stations currently in service and creating new ones, generally built at great depth and brightly decorated, following the tradition of the ex-Soviet subways. OPTIMUS has supplied the equipments for the new State University station, line 2; the public address with the COMPACT system, certified EN 54-16, and the intercommunication with IP/SIP anti-vandal units. The COMPACT system facilitates the sending of messages and the management of the loudspeaker zones, either from the central station itself or from the microphones DC-700ETH connected to the data network. To sonorize the station, in addition to acoustic projectors and ceiling speakers, both flush and surface, "line array" speakers, each with 32 speakers and 600 W of RMS power, have been used in areas of large spaces and high ceilings. All speakers are EN 54-24 certified.
