The SJD Pediatric Cancer Center Barcelona is a centre of the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital dedicated to pediatric cancer care and the service of children and adolescents with cancer, as well as their families. It is at the foot of the Sierra de Collserola and is located in a pre-existing teaching building, adapted to the new use through a reform and expansion project. The result is the combination of a unit highly specialized in pediatric oncology, with patient-oriented care services and areas dedicated to research, within a space designed and thought for young patients. The public address system and voice alarm is solved with an expansion of the COMPACT system, used in the rest of the hospital, simply adding the power and loudspeakers necessary for the new space. COMPACT is a versatile and scalable system, making adding zones and power to the installation easily and quickly. As a complement, the obligatory signalling for the accessible bathrooms of the facility is supplied, solved with the KB-10F kits.
