In the Republic of Senegal, four hospitals have recently been built to expand and improve access to quality health care for its entire population. Three are regional hospitals, located in the cities of Kaffrine, Sédhiou and Kédougou. The fourth has been built in the city of Touba, the second most populous in the country and an important pilgrimage centre; It is a general university hospital (Unité de Formation et de Recherches) and specialities. In total, the capacity of the health system increases by 750 beds with services such as outpatient consultations, laboratory, stomatology, otorhinolaryngology and ophthalmology, surgery, maternity with a pediatric and neonatology unit, cardiology, diagnostic imaging ... Each hospital is equipped with the COMPACT Public Address & Voice Alarm systems, certified EN 54-16 and controlled from the DC-700ETH and MD-30C microphone desks as well as from computers with the SCM-01 software. Amplification is done with 4 x 500 W power units on 100 V line that feed ceiling speakers, two-way speakers and sound projectors, all EN 54-24 certified. More than 200 sound points have been installed in each regional hospital and more than 300 in the university hospital.
