European regulations indicate that, in the event of a fire, the detection and public address systems must work together to organize the evacuation of people optimally. Grupo Aguilera and Optimus have taken an essential step in this regard: not only are alarm messages broadcast through the loudspeakers upon fire detection, but they are also dynamically adapted based on the evolution of the fire. As a result, alert and evacuation messages are broadcast simultaneously, changing the loudspeaker zone when it is detected that the fire passes from one floor to another. In this way, it is easier for people to know, at all times, the most appropriate emergency exit according to the evacuation plan established by the firemen.
This is achieved with a high-level integration (JSON protocol) of the Grupo Aguilera fire detection algorithmic system with the Optimus COMPACT public address and voice alarm system. The AE/SA-IOPT interface is in charge of linking the Grupo Aguilera fire control panels and the Optimus audio matrices, as many as there are in the installation. It includes the evacuation plan compliance matrix and guarantees the correct delivery of messages to the loudspeaker zones.
EN 54 REGULATIONS
As specified in the Basic Safety Document in case of fires (DB-SI*) of the Technical Building Code (CTE*), the systems must comply with the EN 54 standard. With the loudspeakers certified according to EN 54-24 and the power supply according to EN 54-4, using the Optimus COMPACT system, EN 54-16 certified, and the AE/SA-IOPT integration interface, certified according to EN 54-13 as part of the Grupo Aguilera algorithmic system, compliance with the regulations is complete.
