In shopping centres, the PA system addresses two requirements simultaneously: Security and voice alarms, as in other spaces with large gatherings of people, and entertainment, since it handles the distribution of music in the main halls and corridors, sometimes through high-powered speakers with a wide frequency response. Normally every unit in a shopping centre has its own music system, which is linked to the general PA system. Security also has an intercom system that addresses the information points, parking areas, accesses, barriers and ATMs.
