The OPTIMUS COMPACT system in the Vallehermoso stadium
The historic Vallehermoso stadium in Madrid was opened in 1961 and has been rebuilt and reopened completely recently. The new enclosure has been designed by the architect Alfonso Cano and has some peculiarities that make it unique in the world, for example the eight-lane track with the green tartan and an auxiliary covered and heated track on the north tier that allows athletes train with adverse conditions, for example in winter or in case of rain. The public address and voice alarm system supplied by OPTIMUS, with EN 54 certification, is based on a COMPACT, control, DA-500D4 power units and DC-700ETH and MD-30C microphone control desks. The sound points are ceiling speakers for offices and different types of acoustic projectors and horn speakers (the two types of speakers capable of generating high intelligibility and high SPL with low power consumption) distributed throughout the sports venue. In addition, induction loop systems for people with hearing disabilities and KB-10F signalling kits for accessible toilets have been provided for the facilities.
